I am a well educated conservative who has always been against anti-semitism, racism and all forms of ethnic/racial/ religious discrimination. I have moderated an informal blog of 35 like minded friends and family for about 10 years. We have not often talked about anti-semitism, but since Oct 7 it has been a major topic. We are with you 100%. From our POV, the best way you can fight back is to vote for the party that backs Israel. There are republicans who are anti-semitic, but the leaders and direction of the party stand firm for the constitution which protects us all from this madness.

I am so sorry for the acceptance of such heinous behavior. The amount of anti semitism is staggering at this point. Your monitoring and alerting the public of this is essential.

Trisha, it seems to me that the current culture is driven by “social media” ideology. One cannot forget that Hamas committed these horrific acts in the first place. They (Hamas) made a conscious decision to pursue this attack on innocent Israelis.

I'm only half-jewish but i encountered the reality of anti-semetism in my central Jersey home town. Sometime in 7th grade, a group of classmates learned I was not brought up jewish. suddenly, they treated me differently. They were friendlier with me, I started getting invites to play in pickup games and they started saying things and making jokes about Jewish people in front of me.

In high school, virtually none of the jewish kids made any of our varsity teams because of the stereotype that jewish kids were not good athletes. Only one jewish kid ever made the varsity football team during the 8 years I lived in that town. If an italian or jewish kid had a bad pre-season, they would be given the benefit of the doubt. But if any of my jewish friends had a couple of bad workouts, the assumption that they were not any good and got cut.

In my senior year in college, I was sports editor of the school newspaper. I asked the basketball coach why the team was 3-15. He said it was because when the "Strathmore boys" become 18, their daddies buy them cars and they dont want to play basketball anymore. Now Strathmore referred to the Levitt development in my town and a vast majority of residents in the Strathmore development were jewish. So this was code for being "jewish".

I used to organize hockey games on a lake in the older part of town. When my team would arrive, someone from the other team would yell "Here come the Israelites".

A black person cannot change their skin so there are times they cannot be 100% sure that a particular incident is based on racism . However, i was able to see first hand the anti-semetism that lurked under the surfact if not ouright when my "status" changed in the eyes of my classmates and the coaching staff of my school.

The recent events show that things have not changed that much in the intervening 60 years.

Yes, you the Jewish people should never be silent or feel about standing up to anti Jewish propaganda and hatred. And us non Jewish allies are standing with you, speaking up as well. ♥️ no more silence, it’s what got things to be this horrific.

A Jewish friend recommended I read Israelophobia by Jake Wallis Simons. Chapter 4 is a really useful explanation of how anti-Semitism became intertwined with the Progressive/ Far Left movement.
